This picture give me tears of pleasure! It's my son and his little girl out looking for a Christmas Tree to take home.

I love this picture too, even though Alison's face is a little blurry. It would have been even more perfect if we had actually brought a tree home that day. It was so cold and they didn't have a very good selection, so Chris picked one up from a local nursery the next day. It was a good attempt at a yearly tradition though. Maybe next year will work out a little better.
When Christopher was a little kid, his Dad and I took him to a tree farm in Kingston where the people served hot cider and cocoa and cookies for those coming to cut trees. We got our tree there several years in a row. I think he must remember that fondly. I do.
