Summer Laundry

Who can do a long post when the weather is so beautiful that all you want to do is hang your laundry outside and sit in the shade and drink cold things while it dries?  As we know oh so well, it will be over before we have a chance to get used to it.

And, in other news:  Welcome back to the Real World, Ralph!  I hear your bridge is open.

Don't you just love teh smell of sheets hung on the line to dry. How white your whites get without bleach... I even like to hang my towels.... they can't bottle that fragrance.

It's one of my most favorite wonderful glorious things to do! I love the quiet, meditative quality of hanging the clothes, putting the clothes pins on, spacing things properly. And then I love to watch the colorful panels of fabric blowing in the breeze. Then there's that smell. Thank goodness they can't bottle that fragrance, though I have seen infusers that claim to have a scent of "fresh laundry". HA!

Oh those of us with severe allergies . . . especially those of us who are environmentalists with severe allergies. Ugh.

Ugh? Ugh to what? I don't understand your comment, Irene.

I understand. Irene would sneeze all night if she had to sleep on sheets hung outdoors.. I too have allergies, not that bad though. Sorry you can't enjoy the relaxing arouma of air dried laundry Irene. Hey, MOM. Do you think todays generation knows what clothes pins are?

Aroma, not arouma... typos make for interesting emails or chats. Now that I look back at that word, neither looks correct... sheesh

Clothes pins? Do 20-somethings know what they are? Only if they've had us for parents!!!!
